Year of the Metal Rat–Jan. 25, 2020 to Feb. 11, 2021 — 27 Comments

  1. Could you write something on Antaisui, please? Too many rat people think, they have very good luck in the year of the rat!

  2. Thank you Dear Narrye. I love your writings in those days that is difficult to not be influenced by the external world situation.
I like to tell you that on Thursday 2nd I was approved for my citizenship!!!
    Sending you a big hug.
    Silvia

  3. Congratulations dear Silvia!! That is wonderful! Wishing you a happy and blessed New Year.

  4. I assume you are referring to the Year God, Tai Sui. I find this is most useful for feng shui, or when considering a major move or change of employment. The general rule is that it is inauspicious to attack the Tai Sui direction head on, or to run from it in the opposite direction. So this year, as Tai Sui resides in the North (Rat direction), one would avoid moving house or establishing employment to the North, or the South (Horse direction). There are ways to deal with this affliction, such as making your move at an angle. And yes, it’s generally true that the year of one’s own animal can be stressful. But that is often because much is demanded of that person. It’s like sitting in the front row of the class and getting called on all the time by the professor. People who pay attention and arrive prepared, usually do fine. Thanks for your question, and Happy New Year.

  5. That explains my feeling over the past few months that in 2020 I (a horse) need to lie low and be a stationary homebody for once. Thanks for the article!

  6. Dear Narrye, I am glad you came back around to optimism! I cant subscribe the apocalypse! So glad your doom bone is back in place and that you are feeling better. Great writing. I Really enjoyed this forecast.. Happy New Year! Looking forward to your new year of classes.

  7. Thank you for writing and sharing this! I really enjoyed reading it and found it useful. I hope to see you more this year. Many Blessings, Adrianna

  8. Thank you, Narrye! Theres nothing like a good chiropractor. My atlas had been out for years…I call it my Jesus bolt like the helicopter pilots. When that bolt snaps you’re going down.
Any advice for a Horse whose Spirit help is pushing for rapid healing and empowerment?
I would live to frolic but it’s not in the cards.
The pace of the work has been hard to assimilate.

  9. Hi Michelle, You poor Horse! Horses have such big hearts, they can run on heart alone, even after the body gives out. That said, I wouldn’t advise it. In general, Horses do really well having a Sheep in there lives. Sheep are very calming to a Horse. For a more customized strategy, this sort of thing is best approached through a closer look at your natal chart. Let me know if that might appeal to you at some point. I do those consults on Zoom. Happy New Year to you.

  10. Hi ya Narrye. Why does it always seem as though Ox has to work hard, keep its nose to the grindstone and be responsible. All this metal ox wants to do this year is travel, play and luxuriate in the delights of the senses. Sincerely, the Hedonist Ox

  11. Hi ya Mary! A playful Ox–the best kind. You must have a horse or monkey pillar in your 4 pillars, or maybe in your pole star chart, one of the travel stars. Though we make all these generalizations about the animals, of course there are many individual variations. Have fun this year, and Happy New Year!

  12. Hi Cherye, sorry, I’m an astrologer not a cook! You can probably find the traditional foods by checking on line. It’s just not my area of interest or expertise. Happy New Year to you.

  13. Narrye,

Thank you for taking the time to write the wonderful article on the year of the Rat. Really enjoyed your perspective. First time I have read anything serious about Chinese New Year.

  14. Hi Ralph, Thanks so much for reading it, and I deeply appreciate your kind words. Happiest of New Year’s to you.
    Narrye

  15. I’m referring here to the atlas. But of course this is not a medical diagnosis and should not be used as such. Please see a qualified practitioner for advice specific to your own condition. Thanks for reading the article, and happy new year.

  16. Hello and thanks for reading. No, I didn’t leave out goats. See “Sheep”. Sheep/Goat are the same, as are Pig/Boar. Happy New Year.

  17. Really happy to say that your article is very useful to me. I study astrology with https://horo.io/, and such articles help me better understand this. Thanks for all the information about Chinese zodiac signs.

  18. Hi Linda,
Ox year post is already up. You can find it at the top of “recent posts” tab on my home page. Thanks for reading!
